Overview

Nexem is a product of Alchenomy Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India, with its registered office in Bangalore, Karnataka. When you use Nexem — whether as a business owner or an automotive professional — you are sharing information with Alchenomy Private Limited, the data controller responsible for your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and what rights you have over it. By using Nexem, you agree to the practices described here.

What data we collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use our platform:

• Identity data — your name, mobile number, city, and profile photo.
• Employment data — businesses you have worked at, roles, dates, and exit reasons that you or your employer submit.
• Verification data — OTPs sent via WhatsApp for authentication purposes.
• Dispute data — information submitted as part of a misconduct dispute, including statements from both parties.
• Usage data — pages visited, actions taken, and timestamps, collected automatically when you use the platform.

We do not collect payment card details, Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, or any government-issued identity document numbers.

How we use your data

We use the data we collect to:

• Create and manage your Nexem account and profile.
• Verify your identity via WhatsApp OTP during login and registration.
• Display your verified work history and reputation score to businesses who view your profile.
• Enable businesses to search for available candidates based on skill and location.
• Process and resolve misconduct disputes fairly and transparently.
• Send you notifications relevant to your account — verifications, dispute updates, and system alerts.
• Improve the Nexem platform through anonymised usage analysis.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

Who can see your data

Your data is visible to different parties depending on the context:

• Business owners can see your name, Nexem ID, verified work history, reputation score, skills, and availability status — if you have set yourself as open to opportunities or if they have your Nexem ID directly.
• Your current employer is excluded from candidate search results. They cannot find you by browsing — only by knowing your Nexem ID directly.
• Nexem admins have access to all profile data for the purpose of dispute resolution and platform integrity.
• Other employees cannot view your profile unless they are a business owner or admin.

We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure provider. Data is stored on servers in the Singapore region. Supabase's own privacy practices apply to data stored on their infrastructure.

Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active on Nexem. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Dispute records may be retained for up to 2 years after resolution to maintain the integrity of the platform's trust system.

OTP verification records are deleted automatically within 24 hours of generation.

Your rights

As a user of Nexem, you have the following rights over your personal data:

• Access — you can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — you can update your profile information at any time from your account settings.
• Deletion — you can request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
• Portability — you can request an export of your data in a readable format.
• Objection — you can object to certain uses of your data by contacting us directly.
